The Problem

Nigerian social commerce is broken by trust.

Buyers on Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Jiji send money to vendors and either get scammed, receive wrong items, or have no recourse when things go wrong. Sellers on the other side commit to orders, ship products, and get ghosted by buyers who reject delivery or disappear entirely.

The result is a market full of willing buyers and genuine sellers who can't transact confidently, especially across long distances where neither party can verify the other.

"Most online leads don't convert due to fear, leaving genuine SMEs unable to reach their sales potential, and consumers unable to fully commit to online purchases."
